Colchester team expands
with appointment
of patisserie-passionate Development Baker
Zeelandia's Colchester team appoints a new Development Baker, Courtenay Jones, to support the growing numbers of clients to the world of Zeelandia.
Courtenay has over a decade of experience in the industry, having first trained as a chef in France in 2011. After finding her passion in the pastry side of cooking, Courtenay specialised as a pastry chef.
She later moved to the UK in 2015 and spent three years working as a developer in the patisserie field. Following a few years of roles in the snack product and ready meal sectors, Courtenay sought a role at Zeelandia to re-join the world of bakery and patisserie.
Courtenay said: “So far, what I’ve enjoyed most about Zeelandia would have to be the team that I’m working with. Everyone has been very welcoming and encouraging.
“I’m excited to already be working on the interesting development trials for Bread with Bits and V-Go.”
Courtenay is off to a flying start as a Development Baker and has been supporting the development and launch of Zeelandia products through internal and external presentations, finished product samples and customer trials.
Andrew Taylor, New Product Development Manager, said: “Courtenay is an excellent addition to the team and brings with her a wealth of invaluable experience.
“As a global company with operations in over 30 countries, we love to be inspired by products, ingredients, and bakery techniques from all over the world. We are excited to see Courtenay blend international insights from her time training in France into her product development.”
