Nightshift Hygiene Operative at Zeelandia Ltd
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Hygiene department as a Dayshift Hygiene Operative at Zeelandia Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities during the day shift.

Premium Paid for nightshift working, above the basic hourly rate of £12.01

Job requirements
- Maintain accurate records of hygiene documents including cleaning schedules to ensure the cleaning is conducted to highest standards and ensure all information is present and correct.
- Responsible for ensuring that all production, warehousing, and non-production areas are to strict hygiene standards
- Aid in maintaining BRC grade AA certification for the manufacturing site & comply with all food safety regulatory requirements.
- To carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by any Manager, Supervisor or Charge hand i.e. working in other departments, plants.
- Required to assist other areas of the business as and when deemed appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvements.
- Hygiene operators shall maintain and follow the company rules, regulations and procedures that operatives have been trained on within departmental areas.
- Responsible for thorough clean down and sanitisation of equipment and machineries on site, carrying out all strip down and reassembly operations necessary and reporting any damages or equipment failure to the supervisor or department manager immediately.
- To carry out all obligations in compliance with the Food Safety act (1990) and all other subsequent legislation relating to Food Safety.
- Ensure that all hygiene related issues are escalated to the Technical Manager QA Supervisor Production Manager, where applicable in a timely manner to minimise down time and loss of product.
- Ensure that all cleaning sign offs and all other weekly sheets are completed, up to date and passed to the Technical Manager at the end of each working week.
- Ensure allergen materials are used to the company Allergen procedure and any spillages reported immediately to a Supervisor or Manager.
- To notify the department Manager, Supervisor and Quality department of any quality/ food safety related issues i.e. cleaning chemicals, chemical residues in plant.
- Hygiene Operative is responsible for chemical traceability through the GRN’s (Goods Received Notice ).
- Ensure the correct use of chemicals during cleaning process and at all times.
- Carry out in timely manner any allergen spillage removal operation in accordance with the company’s allergen removal procedure.
- Replenish all site dispensers with the appropriate washing solution.
